Perkins Flat Preserve

Acreage: 182
Location
: Emigration Canyon
Date Completed
: 2005198_sw_xpropAlong Emigration Canyon Scenic Byway, Perkins Flat Preserve is one of the last remaining undisturbed meadows that travelers view. International and national visitors who tour the Byway can glimpse what many historians consider to be the last camp for the advanced scouting party of the Mormon pioneers prior to entering the Salt Lake Valley. The protection of the wetlands and Emigration Creek, will aid in the water quality of the entire Jordan River watershed. In partnership with Salt Lake County, the property will be restored and enhanced to increase the watershed value of this land.
