Accessible to the public for hiking and nature viewing of the Emigration Canyon’s splendors. Emigration Canyon has a heritage dating back to the Pioneers and is no less significant in the role it plays in the life of Utahns today. With the help of the Emigration Canyon community, Improvement District, Salt Lake County and the Boyer Company, Utah Open Lands successfully demonstrated the benefits of land preservation and stewards this acreage from encroaching development.
