MAINTENANCE: The Castleton Tower Preserve is protected for its scenic, wildlife, and ecological values in addition to its recreational value.
Utah Open Lands pays for the pit toilet maintenance. It costs more if there is garbage there. Please pack it out, DON’T PUT IN THE PIT.
Human use often leaves long-lasting impressions on the land.
No campfires! Fire on the ground sterilize the soil and can harm plants. Stone fire rings and collecting firewood on-site have a lasting negative impact on the environment.
Off-road vehicles scar the landscape and disturb animals, plants, and other people.
Camping in the parking lot can cause unsightly and unpleasant crowding.
Trash lasts a long time in the desert.
Currently no fee is required.
Use has increased significantly.

No off-road vehicle use.
Practice what you would like others to do. Do not remove camper shells from trucks. Do not bring camper trailers on-site.
Pack out all of your trash.
